Hi! I’m looking for book recos (could be a published book, fanfic from ao3, or published on wattpad) since I really find the mental asylum / mental institution setting interesting. I prefer if the reason why mmc is there is bc he has obsessive behaviour or he is a killer / serial killer. Like mmc is a threat to the society level. I want fmc to be a culprit on helping mmc escape.
I have scenarios in my mind on what I’ve been looking for
1) Even though fmc is kind of manipulated or brainwashed by mmc and after having internal battle with herself that she shouldn’t feel what she’s feeling for mmc bc it is not right bc mmc literally screams danger, I want fmc to still have some kind of power. Like she’s not under or very submissive towards mmc and she knows that she has him wrapped around her hands.
2) Their story would start kind of similar to harley quinn and joker. Fmc truly cares for mmc and she has this kind of mentality that “she could fix him.” While for mmc felt love at first sight to her and would do anything to have her. Since fmc have the the ~I could fix him ~ mentality she doesn’t notice that she’s starting to be super fixated towards mmc. Now mmc used this chance to make her fall for him (ig he manipulated her). Fmc fell in love and she starts to go insane like mmc? Like she’s starting to become the female ver of mmc. Mmc falls for her more and worships her. Then fmc helped mmc to escape.
PS: this is not a requirement that these scenarios should be the plot of the book. As long as fmc is a nurse or his psychiatrist / psychologist / psychotherapist while mmc is his patient and he’s in a mental institution or mental asylum that’s all I need.

— setting should be modern and prefer if their troupe is not omegaverse
