Hi, so basically I have an assignment where I have to read a biography sort of book where the main character in the book comes from a bad place and ends up succeeding. I would prefer a book more centered around emotional/psychological growth rather than physical/financial.

From a poor mining town in 1940s Yorkshire, with a difficult relationship with his father (at times) andwhere he didn’t even have a toilet in his house, to one of the most accomplished in his trade and a knight.
