Most recent series I’ve loved have been wheel of time and robin hobbs assassins apprentice series.
I love complex magic systems, intricate world building. Longer series with more books are a huge plus.
I don’t mind relationships as a sub plot- characters developing relationships over the course of the story and such, sex scenes when it makes sense are fine.
I just can’t stand “fantasy” books that are more focused on sex scenes and the tension between main characters than real plot. ACOTAR being the most recent example that comes to mind.
I’ve started the foundation series and am waiting for mistborn to become available at my library.
Any other recs are very much appreciated.
