Female protagonist no romance implications or otherwise

I am looking for a book for a friend of a friend who is a writer and she is discouraged by having a female character in their complicated fantasy style sci-fi writing. They want zero romantic implications and a strong female leader but don’t know any written works to be inspired by. My friend brought up video game examples but I was looking for literary ones. Strong female protagonist, zero romance implications. Her protag is undead inspired scifi wise. So something in a sci-fi or fantasy vein would be ideal. Adventure-y. Any ideas?
