I recently read Oblomov by Ivan Goncharov, which I really enjoyed, and I was struck by how relatable the main character was to modern audiences, especially procrastinators and lazy people like myself who can waste a whole day in bed if nothing stops them from doing so. I think his story is especially relevant to modern readers — while apathy and laziness have always been issues in human society, it is my impression that technology, culture/parenting, and a lack of socialization has spawned many more shut-ins, bed-dwellers, and other sorts of time-wasters than any previous historical age. On this note, what are some older/classic books that, beyond being timeless, seem especially relevant to modern audiences?

The Sundial by Shirley Jackson really nailed how the wealthy would react to the possible end of the world in 1958. Burn the books to hoard the toilet paper.
