I really love books that are kind of messed up. They just keep me thinking, in both good and bad ways and I like that.
Books like:
* Tampa by Nutting
* A Certain Hunger by Summers
* My Dark Vanessa by Russell
* Bunny by Award
Also, I do have a limit to how messed up. Cows by Stokoe and Woom by Ralston were way too much for me. Like they kind of scarred me lol. Nothing that hardcore please.
Note: I really didn’t like Tender is the Flesh or Boy Parts. Not sure why. I just couldn’t get into them. But a majority of these “type” of books I *love*.

Borne and Dead Astronauts by Jeff VanderMeer went all strange and wonky in a bizarre way.
The Library at Mount Char. Not even one of my favorite books but I think about it from time to time. It’s very messed up.

Reincarnation Blues by Michael Poore, Docile by K.M. Szpara, and as someone else already mentioned The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins.
I’ll mention one I’ve recommended before, All the Birds Singing by Evie Wyld. The structure is wild as is the story. It’s quite slow but also devastating
