I hope that’s not too specific. I guess those aren’t hard requirements, but I’m just looking for something with a similar vibe while I wait. I just really love the way magic was done in this book, the way it blended the supernatural with everyday life in a realistic way.
Also, I’m a little behind on my reading goal, so while not a requirement, bonus points if it’s short. (Under 300 pages)
Books I’ve already read that I feel are similar:
* The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue
* Ocean at the End of the Lane
* American Gods
* Anansi Boys
Also, no Haruki Murakami, please. I don’t like him. 🙁
