Ever read a book and only take away one good tip, if any? That’s me often and I feel like I’m missing out.. I want to really absorb more from what I read, not just follow the crowd to the latest bestseller.
For example, many read “The Power of Now” but barely use its advice; I did get something from “Thinking in Bets” – it made me smarter about ranking decisions, not just judging based on outcomes… but that was just one idea from a whole book. Contrastingly, “Making Friends and Influencing People” was a goldmine of actionable advice, teaching me the value of making others feel important, among other things…
Bonus points if you try mentioning:
\* Brief Background
\* Key Takeaways
\* Life Changes
\* Advice to Others
P.S. It’s quite possible to change your life with “The Power of Now”, I guess some books tend to nudge some of us to action more than others.
P.P.S. Be verbose, great stories are welcome
