hey i’m new to reading and love fantasy fiction and adventure and so as i’ve seen the game of thrones tv series i wanted to read the other works of George RR Martin and bought “a knight of the seven kingdoms” and so i wanted to know if anyone’s read it and if it’s good or not. if not then i’ll return it.

Give it a shot, especially if you like the genre. They’re in the very early stages of adapting it for screen, btw. A lot of GRRM fans love it.
Have you read the main series, though? I definitely recommend doing so, especially if you’ve watched the show. There’s a lot they left out/changed etc etc. It’s an entirely different beast imo, and much more enjoyable!
Absolutely. You definitely don’t need to have read the books to enjoy this collection as it set well before the events in Ice and Fire so familiarity with the world will be more than enough. I think I prefer these stories to the main series.
