I really like reading stuff outside my wheelhouse. The first one was Born To Run by Christopher McDougall. My friend recommended it, I told him it sounded boring. He said read it and then get back to him. That book is amazing! The other is Parasite Rex by Carl Zimmer. I picked it up at the library on a whim, and it blew my mind. What are some other well-written books in that vein? No subject is too obscure.

**Stranger in the Woods**, by Michael Finkel explores the true life account of Christopher Knight, the North Pond Hermit. It explores concepts of solitude and hermit philosophy with a splash of ethics given Knight committed over 1000 burglaries over 25 years as a hermit. Well worth a read!
Maps of meaning and 10 rules to life by Jordan Peterson. First one was hard to read and understand but at the end hooked me a lot and was very interesting.
