Yes, books that inspired criminals and not the other way around.
One example is “The Collector” by John Fowles, which had inspired four criminals: Leonard Lake, Charles Ng, Christopher Wilder, and Robert Berdella.

Leopold and Loeb were inspired by Nietzsche, although I guess you could argue that’s general philosophy rather than a specific single text
