I’m trying to get my girlfriend into reading. Actually, she reads, but it’s only the simple self help type books. It’s her comfort genre, but I feel like most of them are repetative and she’ll enjoy other genres too, if she gave them a try.
Nothing against what she reads now, but a little bit of variety shouldn’t hurt
My attempts so far:
The ocean at the end of the lane: She tried but gave up. She was sooo close though!!!
And then there were none: Blazed through this one. And loved it
I’m thinking I’ll give her the Percy Jackson books next. That was where I fell in love with reading. Maybe she’ll like them too
Her reading level is in the beginner-intermediate zone.
Please recommend books of any genre (maybe not self help though)

My go to rec for people who want to get into reading is [Holes](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/162ed276-8ef0-4c09-a2f3-540a3e9c03be) by Louis Sachar, because it appeals to all ages, has really short chapters, and is super engaging! Another good option is [Unwind](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/13643974-53b8-40c5-82f9-553b746d3669) by Neal Shusterman. I’d recommend reading them both!
