I’m in a stressful patch at work and need some feel-good, low anxiety books to wind down with at the end of the day. I’ve enjoyed all of TJ Klune’s books, the Legends and Lattes books, and the Wayward Children. I’ll try any genre, fluffy anti-anxiety is my only requirement

The Hands of the Emperor by Victoria Goddard!! It’s one of my favorite books, and it’s a very long, very cozy book that heavily focuses on platonic relationships!
The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna is another really cozy one 🙂
Oh, and anything by Becky Chambers!
*Year Zero* by Rob Reid
*Guards! Guards!* by Terry Pratchett
*Off to Be the Wizard* by Scott Meyer
Depending on the genre or tone you’re after , any of the Terry Pratchet novels following Sam Vines (they are basically competence porn , where you know main character has just got it under control , and also very funny in tone).
Or A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towels is a fantastic historical fiction which I’d say is the book equivalent of sitting by a fire, with a glass of wine talking to your grandad.
Vonnegut novels deal with tough stuff, but they have a redemptively funny/light-hearded tone to them. The Sirens of Titan has helped me deal with stress in particular, it’s all about having no control and just being flung around everywhere by the universe. Favorite novel, funny as all hell.
