I need ASAP a book about the experience of a young adult coming to terms with their social circle getting smaller
I mean, i just want a book that talks about how growing into an adult feels socially, how many friends to have is considered too little or too many. I need a perspective on this, it’s tough out here.
I don’t think having your social circle getting smaller is inevitable. It does change and over the years, I’ve been friends with a bunch of different people. You might really have to work at it though. For that, I’d recommend How To Start A Conversation and Make Friends by Don Gabor and (if applicable) How to Be Yourself by Ellen Hendrickson.
I’m older and I do think it is harder for younger people than it used to be, but you can do it. Just don’t be afraid to contact people and ask them to go do things.
