Im looking for fiction or non fiction about parasocial relationships, those one sided relationships with celebrities or public figures- anything on this sorta topic! 🙂
I’m about to dig into Yellowface, by RF Kuang. I hear that’s what it’s about.
Also: Misery, by Stephen King.

I’m not sure if Stephen King’s “Misery” is quite what you’re looking for but that’s definitely a one-sided relationship :^) perhaps a bit beyond parasocial, though.

There’s a little bit of parasocial relationships in Plain Bad Heroines by Emily M Danforth. I really enjoyed it. The parasocial relationships are a component of the plot, but not the focus.
