I’m a big fan of books about the history of discoveries in a scientific field. Some people also call them ‘pop science’? Books that don’t go too deep into the technical details so it’s accessible to everyone.
If giving similar examples is allowed, I loved ‘The Emperor of All Maladies’ (history of cancer), and most of Sam Kean’s books (e.g. history of DNA, history of neuroscience).
If anyone familiar with these works could suggest similar books I would be so so grateful!
