I know there’s a few posts like this but I’m looking for a specific thing. I want the feeling of unsettled like uncomfortable and apocalyptic. The concept of the meat factors and how the humans were addressed in it, how he approached the female he received as a gift and how normalized all the fucked up shit left me just blown away. The only other books I feel like mind fucked me that way was Handmaids Tale series.
I want to feel uncomfortable and explore collapse of society books where dark things are normalized and leaves you thinking wow this is kinda realistic in a way and scary.
    A different kind of horror.

    1. Manhunt by Gretchen Felker-Martin. Not much focus on cannibalism, it’s mostly about the apocalypse and the new dystopian society that is trying to rise up from the ashes.

Sister, Maiden, Monster by Lucy Snyder. Fantasy apocalypse with cannibalism.
