So I’ve heard amazing things about Discworld and really want to start reading the series. But I’m not sure which book to start from. Idk if I should read them in order or read the good ones, I don’t even know which books in the series are the best. I thought about reading Good Omens first but the premise of discworld books really sucked me in. The witches books seemed really interesting but some people said they didn’t like them very much. I’m a bit tight on budget so I don’t think I can afford to buy all of them lol. Thanks for your guidance.

I’m not the best person to answer this question, as I’ve only read one Discworld book. But, Guards! Guards! is excellent all on its own and doesn’t require any other knowledge. I’m sure others can give a much more nuanced and informed opinion, but I’d recommend Guards! Guards!
I’ve read a ton of Pratchett! There are some good resources online about which Discworld books to start with. You could go all the way back to the first one, The Color of Magic, but I don’t think you have to. The witches books are GREAT. There’s a post at Book Riot calked Your Discworld Reading Order groups Books by the main characters or setting that can be of some help.
