I get her books every once in a while and she just told me she’s running out so I decided to ask for help from y’all!
What I’d be looking for is a high fantasy-esc book with a rich world and possibly not too much politics, romance is always a plus but she’s not really a fan of smut, at least nothing hard-core. She’s been reading some enemies to lovers tropes recently and she told me she’s been getting bored with it, so possibly something different would also be nice!
Also I wouldn’t want to get her a book from a long series like ACOTAR or ASOIAF. A trilogy is fine but more than that and it’s too long, those kinds of books are for birthdays and such 😅
Lastly, just to give some examples of what she likes: The Impyrean Series (Fourth Wing, Iron Flame), Boneless Mercies, The Witcher, Six Crimson Cranes, etc.
Final touch: It’s been a while since she read like… Lighter fantasy. Heartfelt and more easy plot and all that rather than the dark and gloomy worlds. So if possible keep that in mind, but it’s not a necessity, I know she loves her dark fantasy, so do I 😂
