I’ve been reading a lot of scary thrillers over the last couple years and I want to change it up.
I want romance, but not Emily Henry or Sally Thorne shit. None of those girly books with a cute illustration on the cover about some 28 year old in New York. No YA either.
I want well-written, smart books about grownups where the central relationship is a once-in-a-lifetime, passionate, devastating,
all-consuming romance. The book’s plot and setting can be anything, but that is the prerequisite.
It can be a whirlwind. It can be a slow burn. It can be enemies to lovers. It can be in secret. It can be straight or gay or somewhere in between. It can have a happy ending or be completely tragic.
Contemporary fiction or classics, I don’t care, as long as the writing is top notch.
