I’m getting hung up on not being able to find some of the stuff I really want. Anyone have any books that are likely on these apps?

It’s tricky to recommend books because Libby’s catalog is library specific so it’ll be different for each library. With that said, I have recently enjoyed The Guncle by Steven Rowley, Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer, and The Martian by Andy Weir.

I hope you are able to find your next good read soon!

    2. If you’re getting hung up about long wait times for titles you want, just know they often don’t take as long as it tells you.

    3. You can access these apps outside of a library system?! Oh. I see not. Whew!

      As to Libby:

I’m in a tremendously long wait for King’s Holly. I have no idea if I’ll like it. Mr. Mercedes was a struggle, and I haven’t checked on the books between.

I had a short wait to get Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead, by Olga Tocarczuk.

The Kaiju Preservation Society, by John Scalzi, was a lot of fun.

I loved Gideon the Ninth, Harrow the Ninth, and Nona the Ninth, by Tamsyn Muir, but you really never know how readers are going to be able to hand the first one, much less the second and third.

I’ve re-read Blind Sight, by Peter Watts, a few times. Good book!

On Hoopla, I’ve tended towards comic books, with a strong fondness for Attack on Titan, and old favorites like Sandman. I’ve tried things people’ve said are good, too. Nothing really stood out. Well, I like Sweet Tooth. I know it’s a series now. That wasn’t horrible.
