Iam looking for good books that help to change your mindset or give new prospectives to a better version
Recently i read ” the subtle art of not giving a fuck” and i liked it . Tho i never considered self help books because it seems to me they are cliche, useless and toxic positivity so i steer away from that as my target something realistic and deep
So the topics that iam looking for books about:
– self help
– habits ( building ones and getting rid of bad ones)
– human interactions whatever friendships or relationships
So I wanna discover more on these topics so suggest me a book you like!!

A few books that have made a difference for me:
– The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel Van Der Kolk
– The Noticer by Andy Andrews
– Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl
– Unlearn Your Pain by Dr Howard Schubiner
– How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
For habits, Atomic Habits is considered the top book for that category. I’ve read it, it’s a solid book, but I prefer The Compound Effect – easier to understand and it tackles more self-help topics including changing your mindset.
As for human interactions, How to Win Friends and Influence People is by far the best book I’ve read. So much good stuff in there – just make sure you read the original 1936 version or the 1981 version. The newer versions are not as good.
And one more book that goes with mindset, maybe try Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins. Reminds you that you are truly capable of pushing yourself past what you think are your limits and you don’t want to feel like you didn’t reach your full potential. And it’s just a great story too, makes you think if he could make himself into a better version of himself then anyone can too.
Brain Wash by Dr. Perlmutter!
How to Do Nothing by Jenny Odell
– more of a heady read but amazing analysis of the attention economy and how to live more in the present moment or among the collective
You Were Born for This by Chani Nicholas
– astrology based self help, really interesting and fun if you have access to your birth chart
How to be a Person in the World by Heather Havrilesky
– favorite essays from her “ask Polly” advice column! A very brash/tough love voice
That’s Bold of You: How To Thrive as Your Most Vibrant, Weird, and Real Self by Case Kenny
Just picked up a few more this week – will add to the thread if any are notable 🫶
