Hi all! So I’m about to go on a trip to stay in a cabin in the mountains in Colorado, and would love some book recommendations for while I’m there that match the vibe. That can be whatever it means to you — maybe a cold, riveting thriller, or cozy heartwarming story, or something set in a cold climate, or whatever. I’m not looking for anything specific other than what you guys would pick to read in this kind of setting!

Ethan Frome, a novella that can be read in one sitting in a winter’s afternoon while enjoying a hot beverage of choice.
One by One by Ruth Ware, and The Sanatorium by Sarah Pearse. Im a thriller reader so I dont really have any cozy books. 🙃
Okay so I have some suggestions based on what I like to read in that setting.
The Terror by Dan Simmons
Into Thin Air by Jack Krakauer
The Indifferent Stars Above (forgot the author).
Peter Heller. Lots of his books are set in Colorado and he is an excellent writer.
Magpie murders – Anthony Horowitz (cozy British mystery)
Dreamcatcher – Stephen King (setting is cold snowy mountains)
Atlas of a Lost World is a great read and is written by Craig Childs who lives in Cortez, Colorado.
The Snow Child
One by One
Rock Paper Scissors
The Great Alone
