Hi all.
I hope this doesn’t ruffle any feathers. I’m reading the great alone alone by Kristin hannnah. It was highly recommended on tik tok. I had great hopes for this novel.
Normally I’m a thriller/horror/psychological reader but wanted to expand my horizons.
But this one… I’m about 120 pages in and I’m just not into it. It feels overly descriptive. Lots of filler. Not enough conflict.
I suppose my question is should I throw in the towel? Can someone let me know if this one does pick up? The most exciting things that’s happened was the father got mouthy at a cook out…. Then nothing happened. Hate giving up on a book but I’m not sure?
