Hellooo!
I’m a social worker. One of the lists (of which i have many) that I’m apparently now curating this:
Books/authors for a 80-some year old male whose mild dementia symptoms are making reading comprehension difficult.
He is aware that I am seeking/ has stated he is open to young adult novels.
Trying to avoid books that are obviously more geared towards kids. It’s just that following complex plot lines is getting hard for him.
He really liked “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas” and likes historical fiction. Doesn’t want sci fi or fantasy.
TIA!

White Fang by Jack London possibly?
The Last List of Mabel Beaumont. It’s not YA but it’s a very easy read. It’s about an 80 year old woman whose husband dies and how she really finds herself afterwards. It’s very heartwarming.
