Important qualifications: the book MUST come as an ebook. My disability renders me unable read physical books. Bonus points if they’re on Kindle Unlimited.
I’m looking for memoirs written by people who were in prison and/or drug recovery memoirs.
I’ve read:
Orange is the New Black- Piper Kerman
Corrections in Ink – Keri Blakinger
Chasing A Flawed Sun – Daniel McGhee
One Hit Away – Jordan Barnes

A slightly different take on it is True Notebooks by Mark Salzman. It’s about him working with severely violent juvenile defendants in a writing program he lead. Many of the students autobiographical writings and their stories make up the book.
Assata, an Autobiography
Riot Days, Maria Alyokinha
