Couple books I’m reading that have curious features. Both are recent pick ups and may serve as a sample of trends elsewhere on the market. Models by Mark Manson and the new version of I Am That by Acorn Press.

For each of these reading them is just not pleasant.

Both covers for the books mentioned are sticky. They attract and cake dust (unlike the rest of the books on the shelf). Models is just such a turn off to read with the light type face, it’s hard to focus on (see the Amazon reviews). Acorn Press published the original version of I Am that (Yellow cover) with a fantastic and attractive to read font choice. Comparatively the recent publishing of that book almost subconsciously repels the reader.

Why is this? Just a guess but, so people read the books and buy the Kindle or Audio versions too?
