Hello you lovely lot, you won’t believe the day I’ve had and need a book to get completely lost in. As mentioned I am reduced to minimum cerebral function so looking for books I can slip into with low to no friction and be whisked far far away.
Sci fi or fantasy or some zany cosmic blend is ideal 👌
Maybe featuring a scrappy gang I can mentally tag along with??
What do you all reckon? Does this exist??

The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet.
They’re motley instead of scrappy, but I think this works. I really enjoyed it.

The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers is exactly what you are looking for. Characters are zany, cozy and sometimes vulnerable and they visit a bunch of different locales around the galaxy. Premise is very intriguing. It pulled me out of a long reading slump last year, definitely recommend.
