My book club has recently switched to virtual because I’m extremely immunocompromised right now. So we are staggering a new book every two weeks while leaving the older discussions up, giving people all the time they want to read and discuss any of the books.

BUT, the last book we read was REALLY heavy and I was hoping to read something lighthearted/funny as a palate cleanser. Only caveat is that I don’t really like memoirs, so unless it’s superb, I’d like to stay away from them if possible.
(I did LOVE talking real fast tho 😅)

    Thank on advance!

David Sedaris is usually pretty funny!

The Discworld series by Terry Pratchett is lighthearted and funny – it’s “fantasy” but kind of pokes fun at a lot of fantasy tropes/cliches

I have not yet read Legends & Lattes, but it is billed as cozy, heartwarming, and low-stakes!

    2. I recommend it all the time for a reason: the Monk & Robot series by Becky Chambers, starting with Psalm for the Wild-Built. Cozy, quick and easy sci-fi read.

The Princess Bride by William Goldman (not S. Morgenstern 😂) is also lighthearted and lovely; whether or not you were obsessed with the movie version as a kid like me, I think anyone would like it!
