Hi! I’m (26F) looking for some books about people that have shitty family members and have largely navigated life on my own. I don’t have many friends and I don’t have the best marriage and my family members only contact me for money or favors, so I feel really alone. It would be nice to read a book with someone with similar struggles that I can really relate to. Especially books with childhood poverty, parents with opioid addiction, narcissistic mom who pretends she does nothing wrong or books with a unfulfilling marriage/husband who only cares about himself. I have recently read Eleanor Oliphant but it wasn’t quite what I’m looking for.
