Hello! Currently 32 weeks pregnant and struggling with staying asleep. I find myself not wanting to read my usual more heavier, serious books. I end up on Reddit and it keeps me awake! Open to any genre, but I generally read fantasy, historical fiction, and nonfiction about science/health. Not a big fan of horror, mystery, or romance.
Bonus if they’re free on Kindle Unlimited! Thank you so much!

Download something old and classic as an audiobook. The long sentences and phrasing in Victorian literature are sleep-inducing and if you already know the basic story, it helps you let go and nod off. Also you can lie there with your eyes closed. Your public library should have a decent collection, or big retailers usually have the classics for a very low price. Collected Dickens is my bedtime story of choice for grownups.
Hello! When I’m looking for a fun easy read, I keep going back to “The Lost Journals of Ven Polypheme” series, all four books are pretty short and very easy to read, very fantastical. Specifically “The Floating Island” is easy to just pick back up again after a couple of days; that being said, it’s not very graphic or difficult to pick up on the story, but it is a fun getaway from more serious books.
Sadly I have no idea if it is on kindle unlimited. Best of luck with your search!
