The way I guffawed when we find out that >!all of this drama stems from an undead nerd’s desperation to avoid having to inventory his own out-of-control collection. BOY, WHAT IS YOU DOING? YOU NEED A CATALOGER. FIND YOURSELF A LIBRARIAN. Cheese & rice. Know how many MLIS grads would actually kill for a full-time position that comes with superhuman vision & dental?!<

    >!(Tho in Rossi’s shoes, I would’ve been groping the walls of my sepulchral prison for an outlet before an exit, because like hell am I assaying this project without a computerized ILS.)!<

    >!And has this bloodthirsty bookworm been storing all that priceless *paper* in a dank, *underground* chamber without climate control?! I screeched. Slap this man. Slap Dracula. !< God may forgive you, but I never will.

Anyway. Loved the slow burn, the parallels to Stoker’s text, the evocative settings. I want a spinoff about the adventures of Selim Aksoy & Prof Bora.

I almost clicked on your spoiler tags but decided not to. I read this book well over a decade ago and it’s time for a reread. Thanks for reminding me!
