I guess it could be lovecraftian with or without the monster reveal. Similar to The Deep by Nick Cutter and that’s in a more scifi setting. Any suggestions like The Deep or in a more fantastical setting (like GOT+eldritch horror)? Suggestions are deeply appreciated!

Perdido Street Station is nuts!
Annihilation is an existential sci-fi-horror about investigating a mysterious area. I got it at the same time I got The Deep for the same reason.
