I’ve always appreciated reading, but haven’t read a book on my own time since likely middle school. I’m 21 now and really want to get back into it and am looking for recommendations!
As a reader I definitely need fiction so I can be immersed in the world so I’ll start there.
I am currently playing the game “Cyberpunk 2077” and am absolutely in love with the dark world and everything about it. I’m not sure if there’s any books in the same vein but that is just something I love.
I also thoroughly enjoyed Game of Thrones and Skyrim for that matter, although I don’t yet know if I’m entirely sold on magic/fantasy heavy reads like that. I think I prefer more realism with a touch of magic but maybe I just haven’t been introduced to a magic system that grips me yet cause I’m not against it if it’s obviously interesting!
I’ve seen good things about the “Stormlight archive” series by Brandon Sanderson and of course the “ASOIAF” books by GRRM but I’m not sure if I want to read a story that I know the big plot points in already.
