Hey, I am looking for book suggestions where the protagonist makes a pact with the devil. Until now Iˋve read the play “The wonder-working magician“ by spanish author Pedro Calderon de la Barca, “ Faust“ by Goethe and “The picture of Dorian Gray“ by Oscar Wilde. The devil doesn’t need to exist literally it also can be figuratively. The books can also be from different time periods and it doesn’t need to have the idea of a “christian devil“. If a concept like a devil exists in other religions as well it would be cool to read these books too.

    1. Oliver Pötzsch has The Master’s Apprentice and The Devil’s Pawn which are his riff on the story of Faust.
