Hello~ I’m feeling a little nihilistic with my own creativity lately, and I’ve been trying to think of all the art forms that I adore that I don’t participate in and how much they touch my soul, like ballet and painting and theatre, that way I can think of my own in the same context, which is writing and reading.
Any suggestions for books that really inspire a kind of poetic, soulful appreciation of humanity’s connection to the arts? Not really looking for a competitive viewpoint, just something that puts love of art into words so I stop thinking of everything in terms of a “sure X is useful for evolution of our species because that’s all that matters” kind of thing.
Any genre and fiction or non-fiction are all fine!
Thank you!
