I’m a 16f and literally just got back into reading a few weeks ago. I want to be clear, my reading level isn’t that high but I want something a bit more complex than what I’ve been reading. In the past month I’ve read three books, Turtles All The Way Down by John Green, Looking for Alaska by John Green, and Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. I liked all of them but my fav by far was turtles all the way down. I read the entire thing in like two days. I think the part I rly liked about it was the character driven aspect and the themes in mental health, though I don’t necessarily need something as heavy as that book was. Something similar to that book with just a little bit higher of a reading level would be great. I tend to lean more towards books with female leads, some sort of romance but not necessarily revolving around it, and I also don’t mind lgbtq themes worked in. I just really love things that are relatable to teenage experience and are realistic.
