Can you recommend some cheery books. The books I read recently are, A Man called Ove, The Shadow of the Wind, Discomfort of the Evening, and just finished Metamorphosis.
Not sure if youve heard of cozy books but it’s genre of book that is low-stakes and feels like a warm hug. They are not usually emotionally draining but have very simple storylines and character development.
Some options are:
“A psalm for the wild built”
“Shady Hollow”
“The very secret society of irregular witches”
BlueCookieEater on
You could try “Ella Minnow Pea”. It’s quite silly and whimsical yet touches upon some political themes
RustCohlesponytail on
Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day by Winifred Watson
The Diary of a Nobody by George and Weedon Grossmith
Old-Pomegranate17 on
Check out Kevin Wilson. His books always make me laugh , especially,” The Family Fang” and , “Perfect Little World.”
