I don’t know why but occasionally I will remember the plot of this book I read probably 10 years ago or so, maybe not that long.
It’s about a family that has a reunion in this mountain cabin with a creek behind it. There’s a little boy that has an “imaginary” friend, who turns out to be the ghost of a child who drowned in the river and the ghost kid tries luring the other boy to the river to drown him too.
I don’t remember anything else about the book or the author or anything. Does anyone here know any books that might fit this description?
Timeline isn’t very clear. I just know it hasn’t been in the last 7 years, and it may have been old when I read it.
