Hi everybody, I loved the author Penelope Fletcher and her works, so I have been reading some of her older works. I came across a book called “Bittersweet” which is extremely similar to another story I had read previously “Eyes of Silver, Eyes of Gold” by Ellen O’Connor (which is one of the best book I have read). So I tried to find out more about the situation (was it really plagiarism, or had she gotten permission to reuse the plot). The only information I could find was on Goodreads and Amazon where other readers also noticed the similarities between the stories. Other than that, there was suspiciously no other information available, like someone purposely removed it.
If my suspicion is true, I will be EXTREMELY disappointed. I can still accept ghost writing, but plagiarism?!?
