If you ever feel the need to vary your media intake, I highly recommend watching American Fiction.
It’s a sharp and funny satire about a black author whose novels aren’t selling very well, and he writes something – as a total joke – specifically to pander to (white) people’s expectations of what black authors should write about. And he’s horrified when a publisher wants to actually publish it.
I’m sure everyone will have an opinion about it. Anyway I love some good social commentary, and it’s really funny and unpredictable. Check it out!

I can’t wait to see the movie. It’s based off a book called “Erasure” by Percival Everett!
Is it streaming?
The movie was absolutely great. Loved every minute of it. I look forward to watching it again second time when I get a chance.
