I’m a very picky reader and absolutely fell in love with the book Women, Eating by Claire Kohda! I’m not entirely sure what about it captivated me but I really like the way in which it was written and realism tied into a unique take on modern horror/drama. I’d love to find more stories that hooked me this fast and this long!
Has anyone else read this and/or have any book recs they think I should check out with a similar vibe?

I read Woman, Eating around the same time as A Certain Hunger and felt they had similar horror energy (tw cannibalism)
Paradise Rot by Jenny Hval could also fit this kind of horror (woman-driven, does contain pee though)(wish I could explain the pee thing more but…there’s just pee in it)
