I borrowed my coworkers book for my vacation. I had it in my backpack but unfortunately I placed it at the bottom of a boat without realizing water would leak in and cover the floor, somewhat destroying a perfectly fine looking book. As it’s still readable, and he already read it – and he’s such a nice guy who’ll never ask for anything – I already know he’ll just accept it, and initially reject compensation. So instead I want to buy another book for him for when I return this one, but I’d like suggestions.
He’s already a frugal DIY type of guy, so it probably shouldn’t be more of the same. We are working in SecOps, so that could be a possibility. I’m autistic, but haven’t read books about it, but I know both his father and son got diagnosed in the last months – his son with ADHD as well, so that could also be a theme.
I’m considering, because I liked them myself, either Atomic Habits, So Good They Can’t Ignore You, or Deep Work but I’m uncertain he’d enjoy them as much as I did, as he comes off as he’ve already figured out life.
I realize this isn’t an easy request, but I hope someone can point me to something a guy like him would find value in.
