Hi I used to read a kind of a lot a couple years ago and I’m just now trying to get back into it. I usually enjoy poetry books but I’m looking for a fiction novel. Here’s some things about me: I’m 18F, I like to dance and exercise when i’m able, I love watching gossip girl and pll with my bestfriend, I struggle with my mental health, I’m a psychology major, i have a cat and a dog who I both love very much, I’m an only child, my favorite color is pink, and my favorite food is pasta and pizza. I hope this at least tells you a little bit about me and if you have more questions about my interests and would like me to go more in-depth let me know and I’ll explain. The book I read most recently (over a year ago yikes) is Girl In Pieces by Kathleen Glasgow. As for poetry books i’ve read the Pillow Thoughts collection by Courtney Peppernell, Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur, The Sun and Her Flowers by Rupi Kaur, and right now I’m reading The Princess Saves Herself in This One by Amanda Lovelace and Lover Girl by Reagan Fordemwalt. Even though I can’t write poetry myself I really like reading it lol. Anyways, if you have any suggestions for fiction novels I should read let me know.

    1. I might recommend looking at book 1 of the “Maisie Dobbs” series by Jacqueline Winspear. You may appreciate both the author’s and the protagonist’s style. Takes place in and London in 1930-30’s. The protagonist is independent, highly intelligent and educated in psychology and nursing, as well as both likable and lovable. Might be regarded as both “female sleuth” and historical fiction.

If you like the first book, you’ll love the series. No sex, violence, or foul language. Great audiobook narration available to North American customers.
