Yes, Brandon Sanderson is definitely recommended, I’d start with Mistborn first trilogy, if you wanna start with something shorter and simpler.
If you’re not afraid about thousands of pages and enormous world building then you can read Stormlight Archive, which is his masterpiece in my opinion

I personally don’t like Brandon Sanderson, his books are extremely overrated. For my recommendation I’d say the Poppy Wars series by RF Kuang. Honestly the series is best if you go in blind so I won’t give details.
