I know this is a kids book but this ended up being a gigantic comfort story for me I don’t know why but it’s always been extremely comforting to me I wanted to know if that’s weird it just feels like when I recommend it to people it seems weird because it’s a kid’s book. It was one of my favorites in middle school i just reordered it on Amazon to reread it but I was wondering if anyone else has read The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane and has similar experiences?

    1. I LOVE this book! I read it for the first time when I was like 9 years old and thought it was so profound. I read it again as an adult a few years ago and I still really enjoyed it, although I was able to read it a lot faster so it didn’t have *quite* the same impact (which makes sense, it is a children’s book after all!) I own it and sometimes I read the last chapter just to feel something. I would love to see them make a film out of it one day.

    2. This is my mom’s absolute favorite book, she discovered it while teaching grade school and still rereads it from time to time now that she’s retired. I don’t think it’s strange at all, and I think a lot of people feel that way about certain children’s books.
