Not really a book suggestion! Which one is better?
Which one is better reading out loud or silently in your head. I’m trying to improve english fluency and comprehension skills and expand my vocabulary.
For fluency, reading out loud will help with prosody (how you speak: rhythm, patterns, phrasing) and natural chunking of text. Plus, it can be really entertaining to read dialogue out loud. For comprehension and vocab, reading in your head is fine, but you have to also process the text (whether it is retelling it to yourself, note-taking about characters and themes, talking about it with other people, etc.) in order to get the most out of it.
