Hi there! I’m looking for a good zombie book, preferably one that has an audiobook form! I have a hard time focusing to actually read, so I like to listen to audiobooks while I go about my day. Recently (within the past 2 years or so) I’ve gotten into the zombie horror genre. I had a zombie phobia for most of my life and I’m only now getting better, and as I’ve healed I’ve discovered I really enjoy zombie media. I’ve listened to all of The Walking Dead novels, The Rising and Dead City by Brian Keene, and World War Z by Max Brooks.. but that’s not a lot, and so far the few sparing ones I’ve tried to start haven’t caught my attention like the previous ones mentioned.
I want action, the struggle to survive, I want interpersonal relationships and main characters I care about. It’s also better if characters don’t have plot armor, I like the potential that a character I care about might not make it to the next chapter.
I hope this ask has been coherent, never made a post like this before! Thank you everyone in advance.

I really enjoyed The Girl With All The Gifts by Mike Carey. Not your typical “zombie” book.
Not actually a “zombie” book but I found the entire premise of “Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter” so off the wall and the book was entertaining.
Night of the Living Trekkies by Kevin David Anderson. There’s a zombie outbreak at a Star Trek convention in Texas.
