I think you may enjoy *Tacky: Love Letters to the Worst Culture We Have to Offer* by Rax King. I liked it because it was a nice blend of pop-culture analysis and memoir, which allowed me to feel a bit more emotionally connected to the unfamiliar-to-me topics (Jersey Shore, for example) that she discusses throughout the book
