Hi everyone! My friends and I were talking about how nice it would be to read a Joan Didion-esque book, but instead of being written about California/NYC, it is about Chicago or the broader Midwest. We are more interested in essays that reflect on Chicago in the 60s/70s written by women, but are also curious about anything vaguely related. I would love any suggestions people may have that broadly fit this mark. Thanks!
